Lynn and Mitch hail from Illinois and together moved to start their new life as Colorado people. Within minutes of meeting them it was clear that they are a kind, fun loving, and light hearted couple. These love birds designed an indoor ceremony to be held at The Gatehouse on Valentine’s Day. The vision for this wedding day was to have a beautiful ceremony in front of the stained glass, followed by giving their loved ones a great party to remember.

Many loved ones traveled from Illinois to share in their day and you could immediately feel the support this couple was surrounded by. Everyone was more than ready to see Lynn and Mitch tie the knot. We decked out the Gatehouse with market lights, white drapery, edison bulb clusters, a centered chandelier, and huge marquee light up letters spelling out LOVE.

Lynn’s father and paternal grandfather owned and fixed up a vintage fire truck in Illinois. Lynn’s father dreamed of the fire truck attending Lynn’s future wedding, but when the wedding was planned to be in Colorado, he knew that was no longer an option. What he didn’t know is Lynn and Mitch had a blown up photo of her grandfather sitting in the fire truck to surprise him. It certainly pulled at his heartstrings.

Photos during cocktail hour were light hearted and full of fur coats and laughter. The catering staff quickly transformed the ceremony space into a dreamy reception filled with eucalyptus and vintage oil lamps.

After dinner the love was radiating through the room during heartfelt toasts from family and friends, while the additional lighting in the ceiling was showing off. The extra decor certainly transformed the room.

Once the party started there was tons of energy and fun in every direction. Somehow through the night the fur coats continued to appear along with more and more people wearing sunglasses which somehow made the dance floor even more awesome. Lynn surprised Mitch with a wardrobe change consisting of a white sequined jumpsuit and a leather jacket with “Just Married” embroidered on the back.

The entire day and night this couple was surrounded by all the people that love them dearly. Their love is something to be celebrated.
