Weddings here at Lionsgate are anything but ordinary. We love to help make your wildest wedding dream come true, and ensure that your day is one of a kind. Megan and Mike definitely took this mission, and ran with it.

This daring couple shares a deep love for nature and the mountains. Not a free moment goes by where they are not exploring a trail in the trees, or racing down a ski mountain. However, their love for thrill does not stop there. Megan is a professional aerial dancer, using silks, ropes, and hoops to dance high above her audience. Because this is such an important part of their lives, their friends and family wanted to share their aerial talents with the couple on their wedding day.

Before the celebration began, Mike and Megan took an intimate moment in the place they love most. This serene, fall-kissed mountainscape was the perfect backdrop for their First Look. Mike’s reaction says it all. Megan is STUNNING in her lace overlay dress with a plunging back. Her mother even altered it for her, adding an extra special touch. These soon to be newlyweds are completely enveloped in this unforgettable, romantic moment.

Simple elegance overtook the Gatehouse at Lionsgate Event Center. Crisp white linens with greenery created a gorgeous, understated look. A Huppah was placed at the altar space, made with aspen tree branches to bring a bit of the mountains with them. Along with the traditional Huppah, Mike and Megan participated in a handfasting ceremony, to bond their love forever. To top off this unique ceremony, the couple chose to marry themselves, since you do not need an officiating party to be married in the state of Colorado. This truly showed this couple’s free spirit. Guests were overfilled with joy and love seeing these two wonderful people married.

After the newlyweds shared a few moments to themselves, the performances began. Their closest friends shared their theatrical talents as a gift to the bride and groom. Some played songs written especially for the couple, telling their love story, while others hung far above the ground using a special rig, silks, and hoops. Guests were mesmerized. Needless to say, this was an incredible experience that will not be forgotten by the guests, or us here at Lionsgate.

Appetites and spirits were high after the grand performances. A delicious dinner was served, and donuts satisfied everyone’s sweet tooth. The Gatehouse was filled with infectious laughter and loving energy. But, a Jewish wedding would not be complete without dancing the horah!

Megan and Mike are truly a unique, bold, sweet couple. Their energy fills a room, and their smiles are contagious. They transformed Lionsgate into the wedding they have always envisioned, creating an unforgettable experience unlike anything we have done before. Their wedding was most definitely anything but ordinary, just as they are.
