Right off the bat Sandra and Hugo knew exactly how they wanted their wedding day to look and flow. The vision was an all white wedding with pops of vivid color coming from traditional Mexican pieces and flowers, and a ton of time dedicated to the dance floor.

The ceremony site was adorned with Papel Picado (wish paper) drapery layered through the Gatehouse pavilion. Classic Colorado gave us some rain and decided to stop right before the ceremony started, which aided in the perfect cloud coverage for photos.

Once cocktail hour started, guests entered the Gatehouse to find even more Papel Picado drapery and crisp white linens throughout the ballroom. Each table had vibrant Mexican serapes as table runners, terra cotta vases with colorful flowers, along with Papel Picado inspired table numbers. Their cake was beautifully detailed, inspired by Dia De Los Muertos. Sandra and Hugo’s vision was absolutely realized.

Cocktail hour was led by a Mariachi Band that cruises through the space, stopping for guests who wanted to grab the microphone and sing along. The DJ had a large LED screen above the sweetheart table and once the DJ took over for the Mariachi Band, the LED screen played a personalized video. This video talked about how Sandra and Hugo found each other and all the details that led them up to this day.

Once the dance floor opened up, the DJ’s LED screen had music videos and lyrics playing the whole night which was something I’ve never seen before but boy did it help maintain the party. This was one of the most lively dance floors I have seen. Though some adjustments to the day were made to fit county guidelines, this couple had a wonderful wedding day surrounded by people that love them and helped them party hard.
